About The Bible
The Bible is God’s message to man, and is completely accurate, timeless, and will always be profitable to man. The sacred Scriptures consist of 66 books. The main theme is the Lord Jesus Christ and His great work of providing salvation to sinners in order for all people to enjoy an abundant and meaningful life. (II Timothy 3:16-17, II Peter 1:20-21, I Thessalonians 2:13, Isaiah 40:8)
About The Father
Is the creator of all things visible and invisible. He is Holy, Just, Righteous, Merciful, All-Knowing, Eternal, All-Powerful, and Love. There is only one God, yet three divine persons (Trinity), The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Genesis 1:26, Colossians 1:15-16 & 2:9, Acts 5:3-4, Matthew 28:18-19, Hebrews 1:1-3, Isaiah 9:6)
About The Lord Jesus Christ
He is the Second Person of the Trinity. He is the sinless, eternal, Son of God, who became a man by the miracle of birth to the virgin Mary. His death by crucifixion paid for our sins; He had never committed one sin Himself. He was buried and came back to life in three days. The Father has taken Jesus back to heaven and declared Him to be Lord, absolute Ruler, of all. The Lord Jesus himself will come again someday to judge the world. (Matthew 1:20-21, I Corinthians 15:3-4, John 1:1-3,1:14, Revelation 1:8, II Timothy 4:1)
About The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the third person in the Godhead and convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. The Holy Spirit gives new life and permanently lives in all believers. The believer is baptized into the Holy Spirit (which joins the individual to the body of Christ) and is the guarantee of eternal life. (John 15:26, Acts 5:3-4, Compare Isaiah 6:8-10 with Acts 28:25-27, I Corinthians 12:13, Matthew 3:11, Ephesians 1:13-14)
About Man
At creation, the first man Adam was made in “the image and likeness of God” and for fellowship with God. Because of Adam’s disobedience, all mankind are sinners. Men are sinners by nature and commit sins which separate them from the Creator God. However, because of the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, all mankind is offered eternal life if they repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. (Genesis 1:26, Romans 5:18-19, Isaiah 59:2, John 3:16)
About the Church
The Church began when the promised Holy Spirit came to permanently live in the Christians. Each local church should function independently, with Christ as the head. Every Christian is a holy and royal priest. The main functions of the local church are: to worship, teach, fellowship with other believers, pray, and evangelize. (Acts 1:5, 2:1-4, 2:41-42, Ephesians 1:22-23, I Peter 2:4-10)
About Baptism
Baptism is an outward expression of one’s faith, and identifies the believer with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. In simple obedience, one goes into water and is baptized by immersion, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Romans 6:3-4, Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 8:34-39)
About Marriage
We believe the term "marriage" has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in the Scripture. (Genesis 2:18-25) We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other. (I Corinthians 6:18, 7:2-5; Hebrews 13:4)
